Track A · Lesson 6 of 8
Growing an audience
Outcome
You'll finish with three or four content pillars, a posting rhythm you can keep, and a simple weekly way to track progress.
Build the audience before the offers
On Instagram and TikTok, your job is to build an audience with lifestyle content, not to promote casinos. TikTok doesn't allow ordinary creators to market or link to gambling (TikTok (opens in a new tab)). On Instagram, paid gambling content needs Meta's written permission (Meta (opens in a new tab)). Think of these platforms as the stage where people meet your persona and decide they like her.
That's good news. People who follow for the content itself are the ones who stick around.
Pick three or four content pillars
A content pillar is a theme you keep coming back to. Pillars make planning easier and teach followers what to expect. Alexis's pillars (illustrative):
- Match days. Outfits, reactions and banter around big games. Reactions, never betting tips.
- City nights and travel. Rooftops, dinners, weekend trips.
- Style and behind the scenes. Outfit breakdowns, and openly showing how an AI creator is made. Being transparent can become content in itself.
- Community. Polls, Q&As and "you pick my outfit" posts.
Each pillar should fit your persona card and appeal to adults.
Choose a rhythm you can keep
A steady schedule you can keep beats bursts you can't. Pick a rhythm you could sustain for three months, for example a few feed posts and some stories each week. Then batch-create: make a week's content in one or two sessions.
A scheduling tool helps you plan ahead. Tools change fast, so check current features and terms before you sign up. Examples, checked 28 September 2026:
- Buffer: scheduling with basic analytics; free plan available (pricing (opens in a new tab)).
- Later: visual scheduling and link-in-bio pages; 14-day trial (pricing (opens in a new tab)).
- Hootsuite: scheduling and analytics across many networks; 14-day trial (plans (opens in a new tab)).
- Metricool: scheduling and analytics; free tier (pricing (opens in a new tab)). Its terms ban posts that break the advertising rules for the gambling sector (terms (opens in a new tab)).
We found no gambling clause in Buffer's, Later's or Hootsuite's terms, and Buffer and Later ban pornographic content (Buffer (opens in a new tab), Later (opens in a new tab), Hootsuite (opens in a new tab)).
Engage like a good host
- Reply in character. Answer comments and messages in your persona's voice. Conversations are what turn viewers into a community.
- Ask questions. Polls, "this or that" and caption prompts give people an easy way to join in.
- Build a home base. A Telegram channel or Discord server for lifestyle chat gives your biggest fans somewhere to gather. Keep it 18+ and follow each platform's rules (lesson 5).
- Stay honest in messages. If someone asks whether she's real, say she's AI.
- Never fake it. Don't buy followers, likes or comments, and don't use bots. TikTok bans using AI or bot accounts to drive traffic (TikTok (opens in a new tab)), and Reddit bans spam and inauthentic participation (Reddit (opens in a new tab)).
Keep the audience adult
In this business, your audience's age matters more than its size. Once your accounts show audience stats, check the age breakdown every month.
- UK rules say age-restricted ads, including gambling, must not appear where under-18s are more than 25% of the audience (ASA (opens in a new tab)).
- UK guidance also says a personality with 100,000 or more under-18 followers across all platforms is likely to be seen as strongly appealing to children (ASA (opens in a new tab)).
If your audience skews young, shift your pillars toward adult topics before you promote any campaign.
What realistic growth looks like
Nobody can tell you how fast you'll grow. Anyone who promises a specific follower count is guessing or selling something. Growth is often uneven: flat weeks, then one post that travels much further than the rest.
Focus on what you control:
- Consistency: did you post what you planned?
- Quality: does each post look like her and fit a pillar?
- Conversation: did you reply to people?
Once a week, note a few numbers in a simple spreadsheet: followers, views or reach, comments, shares and saves, and profile visits. Compare yourself with your own past weeks, not with other creators. Give each experiment a few weeks before you judge it.
Where campaigns come in
Once you have an engaged, adult audience, lesson 7 shows where you can promote campaigns and how. One caution now: TikTok counts directing people off-platform as part of the trade it doesn't allow for gambling (TikTok (opens in a new tab)). So don't use TikTok to steer people toward gambling content anywhere, including your own channels.
Next lesson: promoting campaigns without getting banned.
